Steve, there is SFA up there apart from a couple or roads and sand :roflmbo:

I am more with Luke, down south would be good. Nice winding roads through the forests, heaps of places to stay and stop over etc and lots of good places to grab a feed. Caves Rd is a bloody good drive .........as long as you don't get stuck behind a convoy of tourists in Corollas and Toragos doing 40 below the limit :)

I would be keen and I guess people would need a bit of notice to etc and time to book accommodation, but defiantly something I would be interested in. Only downside is the chance of blowing something up 300km+ from home :buttonit:

I've driven to Pemberton and Margaret River (twice) in the last year and a half, definitely good drives for a bunch of us! I remember some awesome views of hilly roads covered by trees...can see the road/hill up on the other side, but over the top of the tree canopy in the middle!

Yeh an overnighter would be the go, down south would be my vote, leave Saturday morning back Sunday night..if you wanna keep it closer to home, we can thrash the South Eastern roads all day then hit the Quindanning Pub overnight, its not even 100km away from Mandurah, its secure, its a great pub who puts on a great feed, got pool tables, forein bar staff aaaand, plenty of parking?

Gonz.
