Fumoto Drain Valve Worthwile Investment

Hi guy's,

I just went and bought a fumoto drain valve for the falcon and thought I would let everyone know about them.

I have used them on my subi's they are great!!!

You can buy these draina plugs with or without a nipple on them, the nipple is good when the sump is in a hard to reach place as you can add a hose. they are basically as ball valve which goes into your sump plug hole. they make it easy to drop the oil and you can do it when the oil is still warm which makes it real easy to do oil changes. the valve also is spring loaded so you can't accidently open the valve. makes oil changing real easy.

what was the part number for the ford ,it looks like a great idea

was told f-109 is part no. for the 4Litre bf barra motor

add "n" to it if you want the nipple on the end e.g. f-109n.

Freaky...was just thinking about this concept the other day, and put it on the list of things to check out as the old 'sump pug in the oil pan' trick gets a bit boring after a while.

that's awesome! Ive just ordered one too. No more getting burnt or oil all over the spanner / socket set.

I think Ill be fitting the hoseclamp for extra security though. It would suck to hit a rock and dump all your oil all over the road a few hours from home.

Some more photo's as they came in the mail today express post.

It is basically a ballvalve with a spring loaded valve to hold it closed so it can't easily get bumped open. This is the one without the nipple the nipple one has a nipplr on the bottom of it. Apparently in europe some of the places fit nipple plugs so they can suck the oil out at the mechanics shop with a special air compressor tool to make oil changes really fast. All I know is once you fit one you never want to change oil the old way again.
