That's how I'd do it. Then optional fourth step of refit the intercooler.

It will be thread size. Ford BA BF FG 6 is 12mm x 1.75

I bet Steve used 107N. 109N is 12mm x 1.5

I think the toss up was as to which model had the thread that would allow the unit to replace the sump bolt?

(Do the ZF's have a sump bolt or does the aftermarket cover add one? - would then depend on the thread needed for that - if you've got a ZF)
