Great work wingnut! I wish I was showing the same!

Last week before progress weigh in - I'm also working on a new diet this week, see how that changes things. Continuing to stay away from carbs, cutting out the rice I'm having and replacing with salads

Sounds like your eating too soon before going to gym. I would normally eat about an hour before, any sooner and I would feel it still.

Holding your breath under heavy load would cause that light headed feeling, you need to have a lung full of air before the rep and then breathe out afterwards, its hard to get used to, im guilty of doing it at times also.

Before and after photos are a great idea. Sometimes you dont realise how much your body has changed til you look back on old photos.

Freeze, you really need to make sure you're breathing properly while exercising. I know it sounds dumb to say "learn how to breathe" but the fact is most of us dont do it properly when we train.

Due to my anaemia, and the fact I've found it so hard to keep it under control, I've been experiencing light-headedness for years. Breathing properly, for me, is the difference between being a little dizzy, and passing out.

Also to add in regards to eating before working out. You really should be eating before your workout, not just the 1 hour prior to training but even the meals earlier. you need the carbs in order to fuel your workout otherwise you most likley will have a pretty sh*tty time in the gym and feel like you cant lift as much.

Carbs=fuel

Protien=repairing of muscle properties

fats= fuel for your brain, and lubrication for your joints, also aids in digesting food

Sorry for the multiple posts, I just have random brain farts...

Also you have to understand things like your bodies ability to absorb and use the protien that put into your body. You can have too much protien and all that will happen is that it will come out the other end in the pretty hardcore way. Your bodies ability to uptake protien depends on alot of factors such as your overall diet, BCAA's, amino acids, and also your bodies Testosterone levels. If you have high levels of testosterone in your blood, your body will uptake much more protien in order to repair damaged muscle fibres, resulting in much faster, and much more muscle fibres being repaired allowing you to retrain that particular muscle sooner and harder.
