I was going to say that I agree with your misses, but see karma came back to bite you in the ass.

when travelling never wash before hand. Murphy's law will always dictate that if anything can go wrong...............................................................................

I still do it. Prefer to not start in a steaming pile of shit, if it's one by the end of the trip so be it.

DEFINITELY wash beforehand, even if for only this 1 reason: CLEAN windscreen and also easier to keep clean every time you fill up with petrol :)

Ive always washed the car before going away, making sure its looking good. inside is always clean.

Ive had a few times people say car looks nice, even people in caravan parks come over and ask about the car.

They're shock when I tell them how much torque im getting, this is after they rant on about there big v8 landcruiser

Priceless

Is it a sense of freedom you don't get with other holidays pixy ?

Or is it a sense of sh*tting in a cupboard in a bucket that you don't get with other holidays

freedom mate just getting away. If its in a caravan or or tent is a different world even to those that stay at caravan parks in cabins/units.

Random people stop say hello have a beer chin wag and before you know it hours gone by. Everyone looks out for each other, help and pass on useful tips. I've learned heaps with what to have and setting up.

I always stay by the coast gotta be near a beach.

My van doesnt have toilet/shower dont like the idea of sh1tting in the van because you have to empty it later. Most site I book are ensuite site, wife pick.

Most of all the kids have a blast they quickly make new friends and off they go, riding around swimming in the pool.

Worth giving it a go guys both Juniors well love it.

Everytime im in a caravan park we get a cabin then we get asked to leave the next morning. Beer cans, loud music and burnouts everywhere are a no go at corny point caravan park. Just giving the heads up to Adelaide people. Lol
