SRT brakes are like 200+ per set? 1100 isnt too crazy for t3s all round plus 2 sets of expensive pads. 

 

How many kms on avg are you getting between sets Pixy? Think im starting to get shudder back at times. Its only done like 20k I think...but noticed very strong shudder when doing heavy braking (and once really bad from playng with a VE)...but not sure if its boiling the fluid or something (has penrite fluid so decent boiling point I think). Its fine when you drive normally, so guessing it doesnt need a skim just yet.

Could get project mu hc800 for that much. .

Ptr. .. man.. braking hard once isnt gonna boil the fluid. Jesus.

Playing with a VE = several hard stops (car was already super warm and I drove around for 45mins prior). And it was full vehicle vibrations from semi decent speed if that makes a difference.

 

But as said its fine the majority of time, so not sure if full vibrations while braking is the norm if youve boiled the fluid.

How can you expect stock sized brakes to hold up for 20k? I was lucky to get 8k out of mine before I needed new rotors. Keep in mind the srt pads are pretty hard in the rotors.

K's unknown I just replace them when they're needed.  I travel a few bit and tow a caravan up and down the coast so If I get 12 months out of them im happy.

If your getting really back brake shudder I say you're up for new ones mate. Machining the rotor might not even be a option good chance it's new all round.

 

I never put a price on brakes and safety especially when I have my family in the car and when towing I like my car to be prefect just in case I get pulled over for inspection or have an accident. You just never know.

Was I not reading that people get 80-100k out of a set of rotors (with one machine in between). I must be misreading stuff....wouldnt be the first time though lol

I have done about 30k on t3's and a1rm's, rotors feel fine and pads arent anywhere near worn which is annoying coz they are noisy and dusty and I want to swap them out for pmu's
