You’re probably about spot on with the value.... however not the build to flip thing. 

Was built in 2014... someone wanted that lifestyle and is now over it or ready to retire and downsize.... and it’s only worth what someone will pay... which won’t crack the 400s unless someone’s wants to be shafted lol

what's annoying me at the moment is that I am working my arse off at my job, working extra hours unpaid etc because we're understaffed and overloaded, and yet, come end of year my contract is up and I can pretty much guarantee that I won't be getting any offers at the end of it, while my colleague who is much younger than, much less qualified than me, a transparent liar, corner cutter and literally has an entire campus department that avoids her like the plague, yet she kisses arse like noone else I've met before and so get promoted...

And that is why we’re paying nearly half a million to build a 4 bed house.... then another 350ish to build a basic 4 bed next door.... because I know exactly how those cheap chitty builders go and I want none of it. 

 

We went with the highest quality not the highest price also... I think the highest quote was in excess of 700 for just our house through someone who wasn’t even as high quality going by their existing work. 

 

A friend of mine built though Highinbothoms and their pantry wall wasn’t even straight bahahah

I've been watching land out there for several years now and it was worth 200k for the land iirc.

 

It was just an example of cheap land anyhow. It is in bumfark nowhere and while it could suit some people, it is a modern cheaply built house in the desert.

 

I guarantee ya it was built to flip. 

 

I offered was 350k cash. No loan etc. 

 

I wont be living there so I’m not fussed on how fancy or what “fake” bench tops it has I’m more interested in the land and the fact it’s self sufficient means I can come and go, get my toys and stay there when I want.
