Lower pressure bonnet gas struts solved the problem. Black fibreglass bonnet much lighter and warped with stock struts.

Wilko, I try to go to various tracks 3 to 4 times a year. Not as seriously as nelsonian but if you are keen you should come along to the next one.

You guys in bris? Id be keen to bring the ST. My g6et really isnt track ready. Could be good for lols though, cooked brakes and trips on the grass as well as some boat drifts. Keen as to see where the ST and myself sit in a field with some variety.

I know of lot of the ST guys and have attended one of their days at Marulan a while back. In fact, one the quickest in an RS Focus just moved to Brisbane for work. PM me if you want to get in touch. Pretty sure he does QR and Lakeside.

Putting the wing on tomorrow before the drive down to Wakefield  (trackday Sunday)

Can see the downforce dents from last time.

Have added a base plate to even the load.

Inside of boot has aluminium plates added too.

 

For the record, I don't drive the car around like this every day.

Try and avoid looking like an idiot.

 

99% of the time it looks like every other FGXR6T, unless you look very closely.
