I had mine beefed up and upgraded input shaft installed for 2500 bucks.Where'd you get that done and how's it go? Any warranty provided? I knew I was pushing power through it, so it was built with only 20,000km on it. Put an upgraded input shaft and extra clutch plates and disks in 2,3 and 4 rotating housings so application pressure can be increased Ive since sold the ute, but from what I hear its still going strong. 1

Parts are easy enough to get, either from the US or Motospecs ( http://www.motospecs.com.au). The labour component doesn't seem to be huge... the parts don't cost millions... why does it cost four grand for a decent rebuild?$60 a litre for 20L of genuine fluid. Yes there are cheaper options out there 1

Yes there are cheaper options out thereThat's the one part that I've got covered for the right price. 20L drum of Gulf Western Syn-TS for $125.I found Lifeguard for $30/litre, but the Gulf Western has a good reputation on various forums.---------------------------------News back from transmission guy: torque converter is stuffed, $800 to recondition it.Going to spend a day or two trying to find a good turbo transmission and converter. Will resell the one that I bought yesterday (for a profit).

Tell him your Tocchis mate and he'll look after you on price. #1 reason for to failure is water contamination in the oil so you might want to get checked out before you proceed.
