Woohoo the council is happy for my to knock down my chimney stack, providing I decommission the fireplace from the inside of the house.

 

All that's left now, apart from a little bit of carpentry from my end, is to pick a colour for the roof, confirm the roof and solar quotes and by mid January I'll have a new roof with 10.5kw of juicy solar goodness.

so I have finally had an almost totally sunny day :happy114:

pretty pleased with the outcome as I still have to trim a couple of palms away from one of the row of panels

I like how it knows your consumption. that would have made my life so much easier.

My inverter does not show any of that.

Yeah, it was an extra module I had to buy (was like an extra $200) but I figured the monitoring was pretty useless without it. It's super handy to see how and when you use stuff and can tailor your usage accordingly.

I didn't have an option for something like that. I still think that you should not have to pay for something like that.

The smart meters should be giving us that information for free FFS
