Crashboy love the garden mate wifes on the ball. So now I ask can you send me some cuttings? Of the plant in below photo. Ill pay for postage.

that is just a standard heliconia that you should be able to buy from your local nursery.

if you cant get one, let me know and I'll send you a rhizome (rootstock)

Thanks Ill check the local nursery. I like the shape and height Might make for a nice screen along the kitchen windows.

After being out all day the wife wanted to do a drive pass the block. To my surprise they were on site finishing up. SWEET!!

Bad news is that part of the wall collapse and now they are putting in block wall and back fill temporary just in case.

I don't have to worry about trees or plants coz apartment.

I'm taking plans to council on Wednesday for a pre D/A consultation. I want to extend into roof for media/study and bedroom/WIR/ensuite.

There are a few hoops to jump through but should all be fine. Will make it 260m2 4 bed, 2 bath DLUG.

Apartment living doesn't suit most but it suits me fine plus my wife needs the "walk to rail" and shortest commute possible to city on our modest combined income.

But f*ck palm trees. f*ck them right to hell.

Indeed. Spent 2k last year getting rid of all the ones in our backyard. I regret nothing

Gonna need to cover the North side (the way the car is facing) with rocks to stop erosion since it's raised up about a meter from ground level on the NW corner...but that's cool we can put in some cool steps (leading down to the race track)

Also love the lush looking garden there bloodycrashboy. Hopefully my missus can work some magic to give us a nice garden like she plans to. I'm going to push for native bush type plants as much as I can, but it's really her garden. I'd have been happy in the burbs.

My gardens are restricted. I cant plant any trees at the back of the house thanks to the bush fire rating.

Blocks and back fill. Its didn't look that bad. I think it could be a money making scam. Plus its all rock as you can see.

This shows you the height of the garage wall a little better with the excavator.
