I saw that one. I watched the twitch stream of it when it was on a few days ago. There are only a few games that support ray tracing right now so I'm wondering how much better the cards will be from a 1080ti, for the 99% or greater, rest of the games?

 

In driving sims I max out the refresh rate of my 144hz 1440p monitor on max settings and even other AAA titles can all run flat stick on max settings at this resolution.

 

Although they are probably better I'm sceptical that they are a lot better. For the price the 2080ti would want to be at least 25% better than a 1080ti, ray tracing aside. I doubt that is will be but I guess we'll see soon enough.

 

Ouch, that's gonna be an expensive upgrade, a 2080ti and a 4k monitor. Heh I'd better start mentioning it to the wife now so it softens the blow at xmas time when I change my mind about "wasting" that much money on my pc.
