Ohhh...question is, do I go with or without the gaming controller...hmm. To be honest, chances of me actually wanting to play games on it is pretty minimal. Mainly just want to be able to stream plex and netflix in bed so the missus can fall asleep and I don't have to try and wake her up and get her into bed haha. Then I can watch what I want and neither feel guilty haha.

 

I do also like that I could use the shield remote to turn my tv on and off with it...means I only need 1 remote in my bedroom without having to buy another universal remote - winning! Now I need a couple of Sonos Play1's for rears in the bedroom I reckon, as I've already got the Playbar and Sub in there.

Fark! None left of the ones without the controller. Stupid indecision!

 

Although, seems they're on special everywhere now for $197...so not too different when factoring in postage. Might pick one up from PLE on the way home.

The controller gives more control than the remote does, is more comfortable to use.

 

Remote only has a few buttons.

Read that I can use my xbox controller with it if I want to, plus I can use my phone as a remote...so just went with the cheaper one, as it's primary use will be media. Picked one up on the way home last night, although played squash last night so didn't really get to use it.
