This will reduce airflow into the case, but also stop dust from getting in and creating a blanket on top of your graphics card..... If you lazy like me it could me months before you open your case the next time. 1

Moving my ssd's to a new case that separates them from the rest of the case (corsair air540) has caused them to run hotter for instance, by about 5-8c under load hotter than before. enough to make me tempted to install a low speed fan to move some air over them 1
