Hey fellas I know this is a old thread figured I’d just piggy back off it..

Ive got a pulsar 3576r gen 2 strapped to a na+t that’s currently at 500whp, im fitting new rods to it in a month or so then going back for a re tune, it has a 0.60 front and a 1.06 rear.. mates said I may have issues with the turbo choking at top end? Could this be an issue? I’m thinking fit an external gate to combat it?

if the turbo is out of it's efficiency range, an external gate will make bugger all difference.

Okay, new to turbos so how would I work out its efficiency range? It says it’s got a 65l/lb a min max flow but unsure what to do with that info

find/ask-for the compressor map graph, if your operating range goes outside of the main area in the compressor map, generally your turbo is the wrong size for the application.
