Scotty←Well maybe that tells you something about the handling of the BA/BF huh???Fact is they are heavy ... they are long wheelbase rear drive front engined sedans ... they have relatively soft springs and the factory shocks aren't meant to last more than the drive out of the showroom.To really get the best out of one of these cars you would need to throw about two to three biggies at the suspension. All the engine mods in the world won't improve anything except the SS400m times.If I had one my fav road would be the Nullabor ....←I have only driven RWD large family cars, mainly XR variants so I cannot really compare. Having said that they handle reasonably well, and you dont have to through thousands at them. The upgraded sway bars are the best band for buck mod there is.Scotty←They DO handle reasonably well for what they are - no doubt.It amuses me that many beleive they have a good handling car - fact is they just don't have anything going for them in their basic design to instill good direction changing abilities.Upgraded swaybars will give the driver better initial steering response and will give the impression that the car is handling better - but is a little deceiving because in reality once the springs have reached the limit of their capabilities the sway bars will not be much help. The actual terminal grip will be only marginally better over anything but perfectly flat surfaces.
