yes, and you'll find the size of that filter is huge in comparison to the one that's sandwiched into the oil feed line itself which means it's almost impossible to block the entirety of the flow (unless something far more catastrophic happens), which is fine, but it's essentially useless in that position, still.

truck knows why ford put one in + why they put it in such a stupid location is also beyond me.

 

If you doing your regular serving you wont ever need a turbo oil filter.

if your being a Muppet and leaving your servicing for once in a  blue moon then your turbo filter will clog and you will lose your turbo, but your motor will still chug on till the oil gets to thick to move around the bearings. 

 

Sure a braided line with a filter in a serviceable location makes more sense then whats ford did, but also you dont really need a filter.

A factory AFL 101 oil filter will remove more particles than any inline oil filter cartridge as per when above just said

been meaning to clean my air filter for months

cant remember when I did it last, so that means at least 12 months ago if not more

the problem with getting old is time seems to have an exponential acceleration and if you think you did something 6 months ago, turns out it was 18 months ago

anyways I pulled it out and cleaned it, looked dirty in the airbox but wasn't all that dirty really 

Oh well, I've got plenty of spare time on my hands............

Started the yoot in loud mode 20 minutes ago.

Told the neighbours I had to get tools out of the garage.
Just wanted to hear overly loud barra with cams, didn't mention I'd let it idle for 10 min whilst I tried to look busy.

And it's only Wednesday, good luck the rest of this week lol.

Cleaned the fg coolant bottle, not perfect but much better.
Chlorine bleach, dishwasher tablet and rock salt as the abrasive scrubber. Didn't want to use rice like the internet says because of all the bottles little chambers.

turned out reasonably well for low effort sort of methodology I'm sure J@ would know a better way, the filthy-secret-engine-bay-washing ({}) , eh @bloodycrashboy

Next up is exhaust manifold turbo rebuild.
New turbo core, gaskets, braided water line and weird ass Mamba stud kit and Norlock washers.
I'm going to run all mating surfaces over with sand paper before I reassemble.

Should I basically be tightening everything as tight as I can with a ring spanner or should I get the Ugga dugga out? Don't have a torque wrench or any common sence on hand lol
