Picked up a bf mk2 turbo motor with a suspect droped valve.

The car was stock bf mk2 manual, well stock injectors so id just presume it was not tunned.

My thoughts were inj 6 leaned out n it exploded after compression stroke as rod seems straight.

Ill work out how to measure the rods accurately later, as I was hoping to use in my baT motor... Well I guess that will only fly if I can repurpose one of the baT pistons.

That's not a one time occurrence. It's the result of being held at wot until it blew up.

Look up precision international here in SA for stock pistons etc.

that's erosion on the piston from blow by combustion gasses.

Bit of an interior clean for the work horse with new shift & handbrake leathers today.
Seat and steering wheel leathers are getting very shabby but I'll stretch a couple more years out of em.

Hopefully picking up a new door for me xf panel van tomorrow after I did the old 'reverse with the door open and clean up the wheelie bin' trick. 5079f7f06abcde8799e85a7f664069f4.jpg16ee494b53a75b3ff53a46388f09c562.jpg
