I read that article earlier. Sad to see a guy go from being proud to serve to disappointed. Happens allot though.

that's crap. blokes putting there lives in danger to protect our country and they just get sh*t on. make more coin working away at the mines and less chances of being killed. poor bloke.

Always wanted to join the defence force.. Wasn't a monetary motivation either.. Never made it in.. Hats off to the blokes that do..

I think they deserve more.. Especially for OS deployment.. Fark me as a govy engineer you earn 20-40k more in the roads department than you do in the defence force..

Id say ballparks 180 it depends what job you're on though...

Can get sh*tloads.

Barrow island sparkies apparently take home around 4k a week after tax
