They where onsale till the 18th. I paid just under $600. White wasn't my first choice of colour but I can live with it for the price

I'm also up for another lappy but I'm reading reviews on the sub 1k units with very typical reports, even this one has some reports that just worry me but I also don't want to spend heaps on something that gets a lack of love regularly

I can't fault it thus far. Runs Livelink with Ease which is an achievement for any laptop.

 

Keep in mind for the about there about 6 or 7 different variants of the Inspiron 3000 11" unit and the units with the lower spec processors/ram etc are really designed a netbooks/student laptops not for any sort of strenuous use.

Yep that's all I'm after really is just to run tuning stuff and the old internet surf/email retrieving 

I do no gaming or HD stuff so I would assume I could get something in the cheaper realm due to that 

 

ohhh must have numerical keypad and backlit keyboard minimum!

I'll happily forgo the numeric keypad for a move compact unit. 

 

I've also got a wireless unit logitec unit I use if need be.

You won't find an 11" (or even very rarely find a 13" one) laptop with one of them. You'd have to do what Luke has, get a bluetooth/USB numpad if you get a tiny laptop without a numpad.

Then went down to the outdoor onsen (geothermal hot spring)  

Absolutely beautiful setting

No Keefy, pics not allowed, naked people ?
