I will say this regarding the oil theory. Not all lobes had issues. Inlet cam worse than exhaust. The engine also had valve float.If I remotely thought it was oil related I'd swap but I don't. Just about any oil these days is better than the best oil you could get 30 years ago!Metallurgy has made leaps and bounds as well.If somebody wants to put synthetic in his engine every 5000ks and he can wear the cost then that's great.I think the oil argument is overrated!Like I said , I use them all depending on application.As for my FG I will use a semi synthetic and drop it every 10000ks. Shorter intervals I'd use a good mineral and longer a full synthetic.Just my 2cents worth!

And that a FACT.....
