Well builder tried his BS today when he came back to fix the neighbours and mine fence he farked up.

I though whilst he is he I asked him about the front steps and when is putting in the hand rail.

He said his not. Ok then I asked so what is the height allowed. Builder says 1m.

 

I know it's more I measured awhile ago. So I made a point whilst he was standing out the front to measured it again but took photo's this time.

I walked inside and though fark it not you place anymore mate.

I called out to the builder, he looked at me and walked to his truck ignoring me.

Right so I shouted out it's over a 1m fall mate and walked inside.

It's game on now farkhead.

 

Funny thing happened within the hour his wife send us this BS email about a hand rail is not in your contract and will wont be putting one up.

Then got a very firm reply with photo's.

 

Photo's

From the top of the garden bed (brick) to the top porch is 1155mm

As it is now with nothing in it is 1935mm

Gap is 435mm

I am and it's going to hurt them big time.

 

We received an email last night and they said as to per contract specifications your contract states no balustrade so we wont be putting on in.

So it's up to us.............LFMAO!

So they're saying a contract over writes the Click to choose building code and safety.

 

I have an independent inspections guy coming out this week and just might call local council, maybe even the builders association.

Im sure it will cost the more than just a balustrade now when council fines them.

We received all the pape work yesterday after my email rant saying we need then ASAP.

Front page is the certifiers final occupation certificate #2 - "I have taken into consideration the health and safety of the occupants of the build"..............You have!

We had to make final payment before they handed over the keys. That is fine because it's my house now and I no longer have to be nice them. Bring it!!
