Yep I'm slowly working it out. It's different than the Dyno Dynamics AWD I was using at work, but it won't take me long to have it sorted  :spankyou:

Haha I've been for a passenger ride in this one, it goes alright. It definitely needs some boost added to it, maybe I can talk the owner into it :declare:

I've been tuning my VN while I'm waiting for old mate. I did a bunch of steady state tuning and made a lot of low end gains. One spot went from 28kw up to 40kw, that's huge! Also made a bit more power up top. That's pretty good for an old school 5 litre!

I'm impressed by this.

I found that slapping in some boost and then being sensible with fuel and ignition timing isn't super hard if you do your research, use your noggin and do some data logging. Even if your results are only 80% of what a pro would get, you've still made a very sizeable difference.

Making noticable gains without being able to increase air quantity - different ball game.

Oh well looks like I'll be running up this LS3 olden tomorrow instead. Maybe I'll chuck the wife's lancer on for sh*ts and giggles.

Or the ride on mower...

I meant people in general and specifically me, when compared to a pro. Not you!

That would have been very harsh!

On 98 you can get nearly all the gains with road tuning a barra. You can also get all the gains if you know how much timing to run on E85. Knowing how to do those things is the trick and using a dyno will certainly give you an edge for future road tuning. I'll get the mower out later and see what it makes lol

If ya didn't know now ya do...Ran the wife's 2012 Lancer today, managed a respectable 85kw to the front wheels. It goes very rich up top, I reckon just a fuel change would get it to 90kw.
