I went to Tunehouse last Saturday to have a look at the tuning software and dongle.

The tuning software cannot now tune an xcal1, it has been removed from the SCT software.

I was told I have no choice but to upgrade to xcal3, as big engine F6 was to be tuned Monday.

After converting from xcal1 to 3 the car no longer starts.

It's been referred to Herrod for support.

I don't want to ring alarm bells, yet.

Max had his BF with ZF swapped over last Saturday without problems.

It was my BA manual that had the problem. Hopefully something simple, and Jim is getting more boxes from Herrod in case it was a one-off problem.

Ok, what do all the fordxr6turbo peoples think, a used once CAPA Ford Flasher is worth? You know, the older style with no fancy lcd display.

Thinking, no logging ability or MIL checking so maybe $200 tops?

They will save you $200 on an sct3... But you could probably save that much with a big tuner anyway!!!

Capa sell them for $699... Most tuners $795

I reckon mine is worth $350.00. that's how much it would cost me to take next doors whiny cat to the vet and have it put down. I just threw my xcal1 at it, and job done....
