Serviced it, been a tad over 6K

Oil an filter

New fuel filter...nut on the rear fuel line section is sort of oval shaped, been a vice grip job the last few times, really need to replace the line

New plugs and coils all round

Retorqued dump pipe, turbo and manifold bolts/nuts

Cleaned throttle body

Inoxed solenoid wastegate

Quick clean and touch up oil on k&n pod

Tidy up engine bay

It's had a bit of an intermittent miss/stumble lately while idling and at low revs, on the way to work wed morning got an engine light, pulled a P0356 code. Research said stuffed coil was likely culprit, also due for plugs so did them as well.

Tbh the coils looked ok...except #6 had some sort of 6 legged intruder in it, buggered if I know how that got in there. Might get them checked out.

Took it for a "diagnostic check" run to pick up pizza, plenty of third gear roll on Mr squiggles, blowing away some 300zx sitting up my arse with an over enthusiastic clown on board gave some lols

All  seems good, no more miss that I can hear/feel, seems more responsive but probably all in my head.

Fitted some taller rear shocks and raised the ute all around. Drives and steers better. Best thing is it can go over a speed bump at more than 1.5km now.
Also moved the rear brake line for exhaust clearance.

It's booked in to have the exhaust redone on friday, hopefully there's enough time to have the 4" cutout valve fitted.

New Oil and Filter this arvo. Not a bad effort considering had my best mates 40th party last night.

All boxes are ticked and ready for Jet to install some ID'S and a waste gate actuator and turn the screws on it. :wild:

I've had a little project on the go for a bit. Not my car but the basics are late bf sedan fg turbo engine, bf f6 pcm and ZF6 and a few other bits and pieces.

A couple of shops here in Perth (not xft or monsta torque)  have had the car and haven't been able to sort it.

I found a heap of config issues between the ic/pcm/abs and tcm. I've worked through those but still had an issue with the car grabbing neutral on the 2/3 shifts under load. I was about to condemn the trans but noticed some weirdness in the logs from the abs unit and tcm.

Got the car in question running again yesterday and tested me theory. Trans weirdness is gone and changing one parameter in the turn allows me to invoke the issue at will.

I just need to work back through the ABS and IC configs to fix a non functioning TC overide button they she'll be heading back to here owner.

The best "issue" is one you can narrow down and make repeatable :)

Yup agree. Like I mentioned before was about to condemn the trans as it seemed like a mech issue. Now it looks like an imcomplete data stream upsetting the trans gear selection as it looses road speed reference.
