nah, just seeing what's happening down there, in terms of the bottom of hte tank and the associated fuel filters which I'll be changing soon enough.

Fair enough. Once or twice won't hurt but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

On the subject of fuel pumps and intank cradles I found that with any less than half a tank my car runs out of fuel, now that I've upped the power and changed the pump.

It was ok down to nearly a quarter before.

run out as in the engine stops running or run out as in not enough fuel pressure on boost?

Definitely not making a habit out of it :) I just like to know the ACTUAL capacity of my car, rather than the :bs: on the dash of B-series "Range".

That.

I was going to buy a surge tank at the same time as I bought my pump but I figured I can just keep the tank topped up and it'd be ok.

haha, of course, the B-series in-tank is horrible once you need decent fuel flow :spoton:

not sure if I'll have either the time or the money before the snowies cruise

I've tested it enough now in very slowly increasing increments that it's actually fine on full throttle with the current setup :idunno: But it's definitely faster at about 60% throttle haha

I've gathered enough information to make sure it's safe enough for my liking as it stands.

I really should get it tuned, though haha
