just don't make promises to them. They should have to pay out the lease if they break it (or have some sort of financial penalty), unless you wrote up your own contract that has some sort of loophole.

That's not how it works Keith

$290 is the only penalty they end up having to pay for breaking the lease and that doesn't even come close to covering the $550 it costs to relist the place

your original lease contract sucked for you, then.

All of mine had "if you sign for 12 months, you pay 12 months worth, no matter what" in the fine print.

That is a private contract then and u got ass raped coz no main stream te gal agreement even has that and it doesn't stand up in tribune

Oh and I think it's illegal here to even put that in a contract btw
