Stock cat-back out, new centre section in.  Bolts were seized in the rear (I could remove the nuts) and were fouling so I cut the pipes in front of the rear muffler to give me more scope to wriggle it out.

 

Unfortunately though the reverse is now true - can't seem to get the front of the rear section through the gap between the rear suspension and the body. Car is backed up to maximise clearance. Best angle of approach looks to be with the exhaust angled right down, but I don't have clearance for that on axle stands.

 

Anyone successfully fit a rear section exhaust to a B series sedan without a hoist?

getting the stock one out I got it out of the rear after jacking the car up as high as the jack would go and scraping the bottom of the exhaust tip on the ground haha

 

most exhausts have bolts on either side of the rear suspension to eliminate this problem.

Yeah that would be nice!  I might try putting it on ramps and then jacking to full suspension extension - hopefully will give me enough ground clearance.

yeah, or put it on stands/ramps and then put the jack on a piece of wood or something sturdy and then jack from that to get more height

Hook engine crane to tow bar. Should lift it plenty high.
