yes ,you are right . but he already had the money and the courier had it loaded .

the whole engine will have to be striped as there is rust marks (lumps ) on the top of the valves , and looking throe the sparkplug holes there is tonnes of carbon on the pistons . also the cam lobes have marks on them . water has been sitting in the sparkplug holes . the engine oil that I drained also was like black as spade . it looks like that the engine has done way more than 6000 klm (more like 60000) . going to take the head of and sump . will also send a engine oil sample to be tested

If going that far just send it off to TBRE and be done with it.

have no money to keep going at the moment as I have spend $12500 on engine ,gearbox and engine parts . have about $4000 left for tune and bits and pieces I will need for pipework ,turbo rebuild etc . looks like I will not get there after all .

...yer ya will, just need to be patient and do it a bit smarter mate that's all. And, before you pull it down any further get someone to look at it. The wear on the rollers is pretty much normal. A little burnish will probably clean them up and won't hurt performance at all. If really worried, get another set from the wreckers - they're all the same. Carbon on pistons - normal. Valves - worse case the head needs a quick reco. Take a deep breath mate.

have a engine builder coming over this week end to look at it for me . that is if he turns up at all .

that sort of marks are acceptable for 6000 klm ? . will try again to post pictures
