Replaced my turbo...

Fitting this:

Turbo out and looking at the exhaust housing:

The reason the cheap CHRA failed almost immediately after fitting: tV043Lg.jpg

The locking nuts and nordloc washers lined up:

This is literally the first time I've used a gasket here :)

And the studs, nuts and nordloc washers in place for turbo to manifold:

And the same for the dump pipe :)

The two turbo's side by side in "supercore" configuration:

And all back together and ready to go back in the hole:

Didn't take it for a drive as I was too dirty and it's likely to overboot and it's too late at night. Booked in for a tune on 7th June :turboboink:

Might add injectors, fuel pump and punch the cat :3gears:

If you mean the little chips/scratches from the turbine blade hitting the housing, yes. If you're asking if this turbo needs to make a lot of PSI, then the answer is no. It'll be fine for the application.

there are no cracks at the bolt holes :idunno:

anyway, I'll keep an eye on the bolts loosening to see if there's a problem, but they certainly weren't loosening on the original 210,000km+ usage - they were tight as FARK haha
